Sitota mental health care is a private psychiatric center that provides patient centered mental health service that focus on quality care in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Formerly it was working under the name of Addisu Michael Higher Clinic in Lideta sub city and Bole sub city, and has changed its name to Sitota Psychiatry and Rehabilitation Center in 2016.
Sitota center for mental health care P.L.C was established 14 years ago, it is a prominent and evolving mental health center founded by Dr. Yonas Baheretibeb. The founder of this company has significant endeavors in many aspect of mental health system of our country including training of medical doctors and specialists.
In 2016, Sitota secured a plot of land to build its current facility that can now help treat more than 200 patients at the same time.

Waiting area: – Our main reception is about 100sq.m with comfortable sittings and good ventilation, clean and refreshing paints allover with different self -educating materials, and mass media education with great customer welcoming service

With the consideration of the unavailability and lack of coverage for psychiatric inpatient units in the community, our center provides an exceptional inpatient care with a total of more than 60 inpatient beds in different categories. People do not need to have artistic ability or special talent to participate in art therapy; it is an important part of the therapeutic field and is used in some assessment and treatment techniques.
This unit is led by an artist and psychologists. Our well organized art studio is serving our patients clients ranging from adolescents to older adults in exploring self-expression to gain personal insight and develop new coping skills.
Music therapy is an evidence-based treatment to accomplish individualized goals such as reducing stress, improving mood and self-expression and a variety of mental plus medical disorders. Musical skills or talents are not required to participate.
Our music therapy unit is led by musician and psychologists in our music therapy room with musical instrument helping our patients in psychological, emotional, physical, cognitive and social aspects
Yoga therapy encourages the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Our well scheduled yoga session attended by our patient guided via their well-trained yoga instructor.
Occupational therapy is used for a variety of therapeutic functions. This unit is led by our occupational therapist, psychologists and psychiatry nurses enabling our patients in problem-solving, organizing and carrying out tasks.
Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Our family therapy is provided by a psychologist, psychiatry nurses and senior psychiatrists.
Benefits of counseling to patients’ family include improving communication, improving family dynamics and relationships and providing strength, coping tools for family members and our clients gets more satisfaction, confidence and capability in taking care of their beloved ones.
Group therapy, as the name implies, is a type of psychological therapy that is conducted with a group of people, rather than between an individual and mental health professional. Usually, people in the group are facing similar issues, like anxiety or addiction and so on.

Quality Standards and Protocols
